Rejection. The word sounds just as terrible as the experience.
When I hear the word rejection my stomach flips upside down. Rejection is everywhere and evident in everything, but it is your mindset that will be the game changer.
God took me on a journey of rejection, without me knowing that I will someday write about it. My journey was deep and painful, and up until today I am still walking out this path of rejection. We must remember that we live in a broken world with broken people, who would seek to find fulfillment in anything, but it's only God who can satisfy that deep longing. People will reject you even without them knowing.
God took me back to my mother’s womb, the place where I first experienced the feeling of rejection. Don’t get me wrong, I have an amazing mother and I love her so much, but it was in that moment when they revealed my gender to her that she experienced a split second of disappointment because she was going to have a girl. All the enemy needs is a split second to destroy the rest of your life. The enemy comes to steal, kill and DESTROY - John 10:10
I had to go back to the womb and pluck out the root of rejection there. In that moment, God unveiled the pattern of rejection throughout my life and looking back, I could clearly see the work of the enemy. The enemy works in patterns. He is not creative. As long as the door is open he has legal ground to operate.
Rejection is a terrible thing to experience, and like I said, it is evident in today's society. We can experience rejection even in the smallest of things, but what takes away the sting of rejection is the renewing of your mind on a daily basis! Romans 12:2 - "Don't conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Wow! Massive revelation as I was typing out that verse. Let's unpack it quickly as I did while I was typing it out. Who is the god of this world? Satan. (2 Corinthians 4:4) How does he operate? In patterns. So, God says, don't conform to those patterns that Satan operates in, but rather renew your mind in Him and whom He has called you to be. Don't conform to the pattern of rejection but rather renew your mind and turn your rejection into revelation. Your revelation will set other people free! Have you ever thought about the fact that maybe you are experiencing this so that you can pull people through their storms with the revelation that you got from God?
Even rejection is part of the plan. God disguises His protection in the enemy's plan of rejection. What the enemy meant for to hurt you, God will use to release you. (Gen. 50:20) Thank the enemy for the rejection, because God wants to bless you with the best! The very best! Do you believe that?
Rejection is the door that invites the spirit of double-mindedness. Have you ever felt that after you have been rejected that were torn between two ideas? "Maybe there is something wrong with me, or no wait, maybe this is God" - that is the spirit of double-mindedness that comes in through rejection and that is the enemy's trap to keep you passive and without clear direction, because people perish without direction. When you experience rejection, stand on the thought that God is good and even when everything seems to be falling apart, He is still in control! Even in chaos, God is still God. The God who has already defeated the enemy.
Remember to thank God for every setback, because there is a greater comeback. God first needs to take you down before He can take you up!
Lord, I come right now and I speak to every spirit of rejection and double-mindedness! I declare that it will submit under your authority! I pray for Your healing power to flow from the top of this girl’s head to the bottom of her feet. I pray that she will seek You and that she will find You Lord. Thank You that You never hide Your face. And thank You that in the midst of everything You are still God. Thank You that she is hidden in Your chambers! I declare blessing and prosperity over her life! In Jesus Name! Amen
