Lately I've been confronted with the thought of Godly men vs Godly boys. I have never really paid much attention to the difference between the two because they’re exactly the same, right? Wrong. Godly men vs Godly boys. Both of them have the word "Godly", which means that to some extent they have the character of God, but the vast difference comes in when separating the words "men” and “boys", something that is the exact opposite when it comes to your walk with Christ. You see, even in a worldly context men and boys differ from each other, so why would it be different in the house of God? The difference might come in when an 18-year-old guy acts like a man and a 32-year-old acts like a boy. This all depends on their obedience to God’s voice and the works of God. I am not saying that if a guy is not listening to God’s voice that he will not become a man eventually. I am, however, saying that a man that does listen to his Father’s voice will grow faster in his journey with God and all of this will add up to the way he treats YOU.

You see, as a WOMAN, you deserve a MAN. A man who listens to God’s voice when it comes to you and how to treat you. He will know exactly how to love you. He would know how to cherish you. He is much more advanced in his walk with God and he will choose God over you at any given time. Now, that is a man that I can submit under. A God-fearing and God-loving man. This is a man who listens to God FIRST before he gives instruction and who seeks wise godly counsel before every major decision he makes.

Now with a godly boy it is just the opposite. He has a form of godliness but asking him to fast and pray will always be an issue. During the week he seeks the neon lights but sits in church on a Sunday night. He will be his own decision-maker and will not consult God with anything and even if he does, he will not recognize the voice of God because how can one recognize a voice that you don't even know.

The devil also operates in the church and that is the first place he brings confusion. You see, a form of godliness is still not godliness and the devil’s plan will always look EXACTLY like God’s plan, but he will NEVER be able to master it. If there is a counterfeit, there has to be an original. Think about that for a minute. The devil can use a godly boy to distract you from your purpose with a godly MAN. He strategically places them on your path.

I pray that the spirit of discernment will guide you and lead you wherever you go. I pray that God will expose the enemy wherever he goes and that He will bring everything that's in darkness to light and that you will truly find the one God has destined for you.
